Kitchen islands and tables

Hang the lowest pendant at 140cm from the floor for tables or 180cm for islands to maintain clear sight lines. Space pendants 25–30 cm apart when in a line. A handy tip is to hang balloons when making a lighting plan. Do not hang pendants over hobs and there must be a 60cm clearance from any sinks or water sources for IP compliance.

Wall Lights

Place wall sconces at 168–172 cm from the floor, at eye level. When installing in a hallway,  space them no more than 250-300cm apart, consider door swing placement.

Bedside

Mount sconces or pendants 76–90 cm above the mattress, about shoulder height when seated, and within 30 cm of the bed. A dimmer switch by the bed is convenient for adjusting light.

Bathroom/Powder Room

Position wall sconces at 168–182 cm from the floor, or adjust to eye level based on your height.
