Warm minimalism is a big trend for 2022, it is all about simplicity with a warm feel. It embraces the same simple forms, streamlined finishes and principles of minimalism, but with a softer palette, adding natural elements such as glass, clay, wood and plants. Instead of true black, expect slate and charcoal greys mixed with variations from off-white to heritage cream rather than puritan white, a gentler feel than classic monochrome.

Restaurant Horschel at the Emmerich Hotel in Görlitz is a perfect example of how a simple colour scheme can create a stylish yet welcoming space. Designed by Charlott & Christian Weise at Ottomar, a studio for interior design and spacial concepts, the team develops complex creative solutions for hotels, restaurants, shops and exhibition spaces. For this project they used our Nouveau Collection, exploring black in a different textural context, with soft lustrous glass shades. The elegant sinuous contours with a shiny, rich, reflective quality add another layer to the pared back wooden finishes and exposed brick walls.

We aim to integrate diverse stories of the space, its involvement to its surroundings and its materiality.
