Boutique Design - Scheer & Co, Austin TX
Sometimes our pendants get specified for a project and they are a match made in heaven, this absolutely gorgeous project by Scheer & Co is a prime example. We are in love with their recent design for a lounge space, full of beautiful details and drama, it is difficult to believe it was once a carport!
In 2013, Killy Scheer founded Scheer & Co. Interior Design a luxury-residential and commercial design firm, with the goal of creating timeless, elevated interiors rooted in history with a contemporary twist. Before making her mark in Austin she earned a master’s degree in interior design from Pratt Institute, and refined her talents with architecture firms and interior designers such as Jonathan Adler and Fawn Galli.
Drawing inspiration from boutique hotel lobby bars, which fold seamlessly into their surroundings, this multi-functional room is an aesthetic departure from the rest of the home but simultaneously feels like a harmonious addition. A place where morning coffee, an afternoon meeting, or an evening of cocktails with friends can be enjoyed.
The scenic wallpaper by Iksel is the main inspiration for the room’s dark and moody colour palette. Wavy crescent shaped sofas create two distinct zones for lounging and dining. These are paired with luxurious dark green tones, marble pattern fabric and touches of polished brass. Our decadent Opulent Optic Pendants and a vintage pink Murano glass chandelier complete the space. Who needs a car when you have a space like this at home!
