The Island Grocer, designed by Amos & Amos, seamlessly merges retail and restaurant dining. The visual identity is defined by its innovative use of strong and distinctive materials, a nod to the area's artisan past. They stay true to their east London Location, the green tiles in historic Victorian green are set against hexagonal black and white classic bistro floor tiles. The clear cylindrical glass of the Empire pendants with their delicate and sparkling filament bulbs are hung in a dramatic cluster over the bespoke oak bar. The glamour of their stepped form and metal finish add a touch of industrial chic to the space.
