Kim Lewis Designs - Boon & Co., TX

Interiors by Kim Lewis Designs - Mix of Vintage Lights, Opulent Optics and Nouveau Open

Boon & Company, designed by Kim Lewis Designs, is a full-service restaurant, bar and fine grocer located in the heart of Round Top, a quaint Texas town surrounded by rolling hills and hay bale-studded pastures. This Europe-inspired space features a charming wine bar and a stylish cocktail bar, all within a lively market and retail environment. The design process paid meticulous attention to detail, showcasing elements such as vintage Egyptian tile, a fluted backlit POS, and a custom-tiled wood-burning pizza oven. A large cluster of Rothschild & Bickers pendants creates a dramatic lighting feature over the dining area, a stand out moment against the white interior, drawing the eye up to the sumptuous bar area.

Born and raised in East Texas, Kim studied at Texas A&M University, then kickstarted her career with a move to Austin to work for the renown furniture wholesaler, Four Hands. A chance meeting with a television producer at a trade show eventually led to a relocation to Los Angeles and a 6-year career as the lead designer of ABC’s popular design show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Kim Lewis Designs was founded in 2012 and has been featured on a variety of television networks including ABC, HGTV, TLC, National Geographic, Spike TV, Animal Planet, and FYI's "Tiny House Nation". Residential clients include celebrities Jewel and Tiffani Amber Thiessen.

Kim returned to Texas in 2012 and set up shop in Austin, where she leads a team of 7. "Our Roots are what ground us. Knowing your client, where they come from and what's important to them, empowers us to make thoughtful creative decisions. We believe design should tell a story, our roots are where the story begins".
