Motel One Glasgow - The golden age of travel

The interior design of Motel One in Glasgow is dedicated to railway romance. There is a sense of industrial glamour harking back to the golden age of the industrial revolution and Victorian Britain. There is a sense of adventure and decadence, a feel of the Orient Express. The designers have chosen the ideal pendants to fit this character, Spindle and Standing pendants, adding sparkle and warmth to this space. They hang delicately along the bar, with a beautiful backdrop of photography by Matthew Dalziel and Louise Scullion.

The colours of the images and the way they play with the contrasts of nature and technology are also mirrored in the furnishings. Carpets in earthy tones meet elegant bar stools with Chesterfield-style upholstery and a bar counter made from antique oak, cased in steel frames and industrial screws.
