Guide - IP44 Bathroom

Can I use your lights in the bathroom?

We have a range of IP44-rated wall lights which are designed for use in bathrooms and other environments where exposure to water or moisture is possible. They are suitable for Zone 2, which extends 600mm (0.6m) beyond the perimeter of a bath or shower and up to a height of 2.25m from the floor.

Beyond Zone 2 (previously known as Zone 3), there are no specific IP rating requirements. However, we always recommend consulting your electrical installer to ensure suitability for your space.

What is the difference between the IP44 version and the standard?

The main visible difference between our IP44-rated lights and our standard designs is that these models come with a G9 LED bulb. The available metal finishes are limited to corrosion-resistant Polished Brass and Polished Nickel, offering a timeless aesthetic.

Please note: None of our IP-listed wall lights are currently available in a UL option.

Do you offer any IP44 Pendants?

Currently, our IP44 range only includes wall lights, as the standard flex is not suitable for bathroom lighting. However, we can sometimes provide a custom solution using a solid rod instead of flex. Please note there are limitations to the maximum length, so contact us with your requirements and we’ll be happy to advise.
