Guide to stairwells
Designing a Custom Stairwell Chandelier
If you're interested in creating a stairwell arrangement, there are a few key details we’ll need to help design a bespoke chandelier tailored to your space:
What is the size of your void?
Please measure the open space between your staircases where the pendants will hang. This helps us determine the appropriate drop lengths and overall scale of the design.
What is your floor-to-ceiling height?
Let us know the total height from floor to ceiling, as well as the height between each level if the space spans multiple floors.
Is your ceiling flat or sloped?
The type and angle of your ceiling will influence the ceiling plate or fixture type, as well as the positioning of the pendants.
Which pendant styles do you like?
Having an idea of the styles you’re drawn to gives us a great starting point for the design.
We offer a range of tailored options to suit your space — from compact stairwells that suit 3–5 pendants, to double-height entrances and larger hallways that call for a bold, dramatic centrepiece.
Once we have the above details, we can provide a rough indication of costs and even a 3D drawing to help you visualise the final result.
