I am in America can I still buy your lights?

Yes! Rothschild & Bickers are now UL approved to supply Pendants, Wall Sconces and Multi Drop Clusters for North America & Canada. UL electrics are compatible with US voltage (120v) and have a E12 or E26 socket.

Are there any differences in the UK and US (UL) products?

In this guide we have highlighted the main visual differences between the standard UK and UL versions of our lights - Please see images.

All UL Products are made with Bakelite UL listed E12 (UK/EU E14 equivalent) and E26 (UK/EU E27 equivalent) lamp holder fittings to replace our UK/EU metal components. These have been powder coated to match our full range of finishes.  Please note that the Spindle Pendant Collection has an added socket cover due to the design, this conceals the bakelite threaded skirt.

All UL Pendants are supplied with a 4.7 inch (120mm) ceiling canopy you have a choice of 3 different styles. This is mounted with a 4.56 inch back strap and 2 x side fix grub screws, all technical specifications can be found on our accessories page. 

UL wall sconces use the same 120 mm backplate, which is larger than the UK version, so they may appear slightly different from the images shown on the product pages.

Do they come with a bulb?

We do not supply bulbs for our UL products. Here is a guide to styles that can be sourced locally. The bulb will depend on the pendant you are purchasing, each product page has a link to the recommended size and lamp base suitable. We have listed out the colour temperature and lumens to get the perfect match. Contact us for recommended suppliers.
