Set along the marina in Puerto Banús, Mumtaz has undergone a complete renovation. The new interior highlights a warm, inviting atmosphere through natural wood finishes, layered textures, and rich details inspired by Indian craftsmanship. Reflecting current trends in luxury hospitality toward material authenticity and culturally informed design. Stripes and graphic motifs appear throughout the space, from wall treatments to upholstered seating, creating rhythm and visual interest while reinforcing the restaurant’s sophisticated character. The result is a space that feels modern, refined, and deeply considered.

Lighting plays a key role in the design, shaping the mood and highlighting textures throughout the restaurant. Studio Hick incorporated Rothschild & Bickers lighting as both functional and decorative elements. Along the walls, Striped Pop Petite Wall Lights echo the graphic language of the interiors, while Opulent Optic Wall Lights add depth and a soft, flattering glow that accentuates wood finishes and artisanal details.

Above the dining areas, fringed Vintage Lights create pools of warm light over each table. Their hand-blown glass and classic forms offer quiet luxury, reinforcing intimacy while complementing the richness of the materials and craftsmanship throughout the space. The result is a space that feels cohesive, contemporary, and considered.
